The first day at work.
I have travelled approx. 20 minutes by train to Picadilly station 2,8 GBP, then short 10 minutes walk, then wait 10 minutes for the bus, 2,8 GBP again, then another 40 minutes ride in traffic jam. And this is all in POURING RAIN again. When I arrived I could squeeze water from my trousers.
The day at work was ok, I was showed around the building, meet all of the people (around 20 only), as far as I know I am the only eastern - european there, so no more czech, or polish talking in the office. As Gamma have an office in Budapest, there will be some hungarian talking once in a while.
the people were nice by the way, I was spending my whole day reading company documentation about the products, processes, and equipments, trying to get more familiar with the job I am gonna have to do.
As the world is very small I met a couple people, I met them before at training or during previous work. Anyway, no secrets in telecom world.
The office is at an industrial location, no residental enviroment around, so after work, I was standing at the side of the road, waiting 20 minutes for the bus to come, in the pouring rain, and supriseingly strong wind. I felt my brain frozen, as I forgot to bring my hat in the morning.
Finally the double decker has arrived, which called cheap bus, but the hungarian community call them "stinky bus", as the people riding on it are quite smelly :-)
The ride was nice, huge traffic jam, rain, humidity covered all the windows, which made the whole bus blury and impossible to see what is going on outside, therefore I could only guess where I was. The whole trip home was about 1 and a half hour. On the way back I met one of my hungarian friend on the same bus I was travelling. He told me, he had been invited to play squash in a sport centre in Moss Side. He told me, they could easily book it for 2 hours, all of the courts were free. I wonder why....anyway I wished him good luck, I hope I'll see him again.
I made some Tesco shopping as I ran out my daily coke portion, and came back home. The whole street of ours is flooded. Impossible to walk on the sidewalk, as it is flooded by 10-15 centimetre deep water. I am gonna be crazy, or will turn into a duck.
As I promised I post some pictures of my flat itself, afterall it is not so bad. Wish I could fly into the flat without using the stairs :-)
This is my beautiful bedroom. Not overfurnished, but at least brand new. ( I have some cabinet at the other side don't worry)
This is the bathroom, but I guess it is not new information...
And this is the kitchen slash living room ....
Well, that is it ...
