Pray for Success

As true hungarian, I can complain about almost everything. If you interested, read, simple as that :-)

155th - Service

2008.11.30. 18:03 ZmanUK

I took our car for the 3rd year Regular Service check yesterday. I had the appointment booked days ago, and also I have been given a full price for the whole service: 120 GBP + VAT.

I could not get a full price from any hungarian dealer, as probably all they do is "changing" their price as they want, and charge as much as they want. Dodgy bastards.

Anyway, the Vauxhall dealer is about 5 minutes drive from us, so I was there on saturday morning, told to the mechanic, (who was a woman, BTW) what I would like to get it checked also (minor things, but still did not charge me for them), and everything was done in 1,5 hour. I think my car was the only OPEL there. :-)))

I got my car back, got my receipt, and got the service book filled. All went nice and quick. The guy, at the service reception, was wearing a tie and suit (not like in Hungary), and they offered me free coffee or tea. Perfect Service!

Today I did not really go out. The weather is quite chilly nowadays, and I had many things to sort out in the flat. I cleaned, washed, and sorted all of my official papers, so finally everything is in its place.

Also had to write a letter to my neighbour and leave the letter on his car's windscreen, as the guy likes to leave his car infront of his garage, which is entirelly in the way for me to access my parking bay. So I gently asked him, to park inside his garage, and let me manouver my car properly without worrying about the whole parking process.

I almost forgot. Mrs. Smith has found a printer for sale on gumtree, for 10 quid, so we went for it. The seller was the same guy who sold the fitness machine for us. So now we bought a printer/scanner/photocopier/fax all-in-one machine for a 10er. Bargain, right?

Our life gets better and easier day-by-day, and now we are starting to enjoy being here.

Finally I can talk in english more, and also Mrs. Smith can improve her english. (She already made a friendship with a pretty polish manager lady from her work). But still we miss our good people from Manchester...

A feeling which does not fade ...
