We are through of a busy weekend. Saturday, we went to London, unfortunately Matteo had to work, so we only could talk for an hour in the morning, then we left our car at his place. He drove to work that day, so he gave us a lift to the Hotel Intercontinental, where we saw the bus of the All Blacks, (NZ rugby team), who they came to fight against Barbarians, I guess it must have been a good match.
We walked from the hotel, which is on Park Lane, to Marble Arch, and went to do some shopping on Oxford Street. The whole street, from Marble Arch, till Tottenham Court Road was closed for the traffic, so they made it a huge shopping street for the Christmas, without buses and taxis. Even though the "pavement" got wider, but still was not enough for that amount of people. A huge mass was flowing down the street, it was incredible crowded. (I was happy I did not live in London anymore)
We walked around for 4 hours, then had something to eat, and headed to Kilburn to pick up the car. Unfortunately we did not have time, or strength to visit Camden, but maybe next time Ms. Bishops :-). Of course it started to rain at the end, traffic increased, and because of the long walk, I was so tired, even Redbull could not wake me up. So all the way home, in the dark on M25, and A12, I felt I was gonna fall asleep driving.
We got home at around 18:00, Mrs. Smith went for her company's Christmas party, and in the meantime I went over to a friend of mine, to play Xbox.
On Sunday, we were planning to visit the nearby forest however it was pouring rain, so we changed our plans to a coffee in the center. So all friends showed up in Starbucks, we sinked into the comfy chairs, and stayed there at least an hour and a half. It was great to just do nothing but drinking coffee and having a chat with friends.
When we finished our coffee, the weather changed, and the sun turned up, so some of us decided to go to the forest anyway.
Went home, changed, and went to the forest, which was great. Nice colors, trees, quiet, walking along the river Orwell, so it was really relaxing.
It was a great weekend indeed, with lots of activities, however the weather could had been better. Nevermind.
