Today we are gonna have a small Bon Voyage party at PALS for our Hungarian friends. They are students from the Police College of Hungary, and came here to have a 3 month experience with Suffolk Police forces.
I think they had a great time here. They stayed at the Suffolk Constabulary Headquarters (where we played tennis, and golf), and had constant action in this three month.
They had been involved working with:
- Drug Unit
- Air Unit (Helicopter ride)
- Investigation / Interogation
- Traffic Officers
- Firearm unit (shot with MP5, and Glock 9mm)
- Patrol
They had been received well by fellow English constables, trained, gained a lot of new skills, improved their English, had been tasered (they asked for it :)))
So anyway, my heart was aching (I was so jelauos :) when they had experienced all of these, but for sure these guys got many things which are very important, and they hopefully will be able to use working for the Hungarian Police forces.
We will miss them, as despite of their young age (19-20), they were good guys, and fun to talk to.
