Recently I spoke with two of my friends back from Hungary. Both of them are working there in IT. The funny thing, that they told me, they did not feel the affects of the financial crisis in Hungary. The life is just the same for them, and they act like wearing blinkers, as they had no idea about the real crisis. This is a common thing, that hungarians believe, the credit crunch and the current crisis are just made-up things by the banks.
Well, if 50K people out of the population of 10Million looses their jobs, that is something real. Not made up.
The funny thing, while my telecom job is constantly at stake here, these friends don't even have to worry about their jobs, as that seems to be certain. I know Hungarian life is maintained from loans and credits, and not from the strong government, but still most of the people I talk to (from Hungary), are not threatened at all by the consequences of the current crisis.
It is strange to tell them, on a daily bases I am stressed not to lose my job here, while they are not even worried. Soon I am gonna have to "work" from home, which on my belief is another way to wait for the inevitable.
