Pray for Success

As true hungarian, I can complain about almost everything. If you interested, read, simple as that :-)

182nd - London and marina

2009.03.23. 14:38 ZmanUK

I have a very good weekend behind me. On Saturday, we could finally go to London, and meet up with a friend of us (who stayed at our place recently for a week). She had some friends over from Hungary (6 people), and decided to be a tourist guide for them in London.

We were glad to join, as it is a long time now since we saw the beautiful monuments, and buildings of London. We got to London by coach (train services were suspended between Colchester and London Liverpool Street, so we decided to go by bus), and spent the whole day with great people, laughed a lot, walked a lot, travelled a lot.

The weather could not be better, it was sunny and warm, total spring. Had Burgers at McDonald (Victoria Station), fried peanut at the Big Ben, icecream at London Eye, beer at Covent Garden, seen the Tower, Monument, Big Ben, Canary Wharf, Westminster Abbey, so it was really good. The people we met were colleagues of our very good friend from Hungary, so afterall we knew all of them on some level.

In the afternoon Edina and Matteo joined as well, and made the day even more perfect. It was such a pity we had to go back at the evening, Mrs. Smith had to work on Sunday afternoon.

I am planning to have another visit to London, in order to meet up some of my friend (old colleagues), like Mr. O, and maybe Leo Ballerina :)

I have not told them yet, but if my situation becomes stable here, I will start organizing it. So from this sentece you might have found out already, no further news regarding my job. Still in waiting phase. Bugger!

On Sunday, I went back to Vision Express, of course to complain about my glasses (I realized only now, that they chose a wider lens than the frame itself, so half of the lens were out of the frame at the top). The assistant manager received my complaints, and said sorry (of course), and ordered a thinner lens to change straight away. It will be free of charge, as she admitted, the person who has done it, should not have put this lens into this frame anyway, as it was obviously too thick. Anyway, apologies accepted. I am trying to relax myself a bit and not to complain too much, even tho I was right.

1. It just does not make sense, nothing is gonna change

2. I will be more relaxed if I do not worry about these things

After the vision express, on the way home, we hade a lunch (pizzas) at the Marina. We sat outside in the sunshine, and watched the sailing boats nearby, and the seagulls, etc.

It was a perfect time for both of us. In the afternoon, I took Mrs. Smith to work, and the whole sunday just disappeared quickly after that. :-(

Now the weather is shit, strong wind, dark clouds, however no rain so far. Keep fingers crossed.
