Right up until the end of Saturday (till around 10pm), we believed this weekend will be spent at home, relaxing.
Then I received a phonecall from an old friend of us, an italian guy lives in London. Our friendship goes back in time, back to 2004, when I met Mrs. Smith, and met this guy, and his girlfriend who happened to be also hungarian.
Mrs. Smith was living with them in a flatshare by that time in East-London. The Italian guy, Matteo, and that hungarian girl are not together anymore, however as life manages, the 4 of us are meeting up regularly almost every year in different places.
And this time, it was supposed to be in Ipswich at our place. Matteo was having his "ex" over from Hungary, and they decided to visit us, as we have not seen each other for a year now.
We were happy to have them here. They stayed with us on sunday, and also stayed up until today afternoon. We went down to the seaside, walked miles along the shore, went to do some shopping, showed them around in Ipswich, cooked meat in fondue at the evening, had some beer, laughed a lot, and talked a lot.
It was a great day, and good fun. Lots of memories came back from the old times, and it was so great to see how life changed us, and how our life changed in these years. We really enjoyed their visit.
We were discussing how and when we met in the last couple years together or only some of us.

When we said goodbye we did not really say goodbye. Because we all knew, sooner or later, we will meet each other soon. The funny thing, you can live anywhere in this world, friendships can work from long distance, and you all can pick up where you left evertyhing at the next time you met.
It is good to have friends like them, when we can have perfect time together, wherever and whenever we meet.
