145th - Done

2008.11.02. 19:30 ZmanUK

I hate moving. I spent whole Friday with packing, went to sleep at 22:00 then woke up at 4:30 in the morning.

Packing the car was more difficult than we thought. And also it needed more time to do it. We had to squeeze in our stuff in every free places we have found. There was another couple with their car, who helped us out in moving, but still we had so many things, I was not sure if we could take all of them with two cars.

Anyway, after the packing, at 7:10 am. we were ready to go. Quick tanking (94,9 a LITER!) then off we went. I was amazed how much stuff can be packed in an Astra.
The way down to Ipswich was quite boring. Leaving the cloudy Manchester-Birmingham part behind, the weather got better a bit. The temperature on the road, was around 0 degrees, so it was quite chilly morning.  I had to speed up a bit, as we had to be there at 11:30 sharp, as the agent already warned us, they will not wait.

We could make it, and we arrived to the flat at 11:28. However. Agent called us and she updated us, she was going to late. So we had to wait. And wait, and wait. She got there at 12:13, which I was not happy with, considering we already had a couple hours drive behind us, and also I could manage to move down to Ipswich, from 390km away, and got there in exact timem, why couldn’t she?

Anyway, we got into the flat, which is marvellous. We went through the inventory and checked everything. There is carpit all over the flat, with nice furniture, and nice equipment. And what we have realized, the flat itself is HUGE. The bedroom is very spaceous, the living room, is big, the hallway, the kitchen, the bathroom, everything is great.

There are keyfobs to open the front door of the house, remote controller to open the electric door of the car park, secured CCTV monitored car park with dedicated parking places for each flat.
So the flat is just awesome. I am really pleased with it. Mrs. Smith liked it very much, and our friends too. (Our friends came later on, not with us, as they could not leave Manchester in the morning, so got to Ipswich in the early afternoon. )

We packed everything out, and went to the Tesco Superstore nearby my workplace, to buy some things to the flat, and buy some food.
The weather turned nasty, with pouring rain, so it was quite difficult to drive. We had dinner and drank some alcohol to celebrate the flat, then after watching some movie, we went to bed around midnight.

Today (Sunday), I got up early and continued packing, while the others were still asleep, then had the first morning coffee in this flat. We went out to the balcony with Mrs. Smith, and drank our coffee while seagulls were crying above us. Great moments.
After we went for a short walk in the town centre of Ipswich, bought duvet for the bed in the local Primark, and looked around. We even got into a small church where they were singing gospel. They invited us in. (We will go back on Sundays definitely)

The town itself is very nice, small streets, lovely shops. I started to like it. Later on, we drove down to Felixstowe, as I wanted to see the sea.
It is only 20 minutes drive away. To be honest I Was a little bit disappointed. You can not compare the east coast to Wales. The sea was kinda gray, and brown, the shore was not so nice, and it was nothing special. I was really missing the sea I knew from Wales. But  it was a stupid thing to compare, I am sure we will find some nice places around here too. We got back to Ipswich at 14:30, then had something to eat, and had some chat. Our friends had to leave at 16:00, so now I am alone.

Everybody left. Mrs. Smith is on the way back to Manchester with our friends now. I am desperatly trying to reach my friend Marcos, as I have no idea where I have to go tomorrow to work, and this makes me a bit nervous, as I don’t wanna be late on my first day. But so far, no news about him.
