As I had a terrible night on Sunday, I decided to go to see a GP. I got cold two weeks ago, and my irritating caugh did not want to go away. It got so bad, that I was caughing all night on Sunday, without almost having any sleep. I remembered I was checking my watch around 4.am, then I probably got to sleep.
I phoned in to work, that I am gonna see a doctor, and I went to the local GP. Unfortunately I did not have appointment, so I registered myself as a walk-in patient (the majority of the people there were without appointment), and had to wait around 2 hours, until I was examined. The doctor told me, this constant caugh remained from my illness (obviously), and my lungs became extra sensitive, this is why I can not stop caughing.
She gave me a prescription for an inhaler, which I have use that for around 2 weeks, and I should be ok. I have bought it (7,2£ NHS), then started to use yesterday, and finally I could got some sleep yesterday evening. Not much, as I still was caughing, but definetly more than before.
Anyway, I hope I will get better soon, because this just drives me crazy. I am happy, that I am not smoking anymore.
BTW, this is my 8 months anniversary since I quit :-)
