It has been a long time since I wrote to my blog. Somehow I was expecting this because I consider myself as a lazy hungarian bastard, who is never enough purposeful. I have spent another two weekends here already. On the first weekend Mrs. Smith was visiting, we had incredible cold weather, and by the time I got to the airport everything was already covered by 1-2cm snow. She was lucky as her plane could land after about 1,5 hour late, but the plane was following theirs was redirected to Liverpool, because of the weather conditions.
When we got home it was still snowing. People were playing snowfights outside and everybody was happy about it. (Silly thing, but I can not consider and name 1-2cm of this white stuff as SNOW) :-)
On that saturday we did some shopping, and spent a Huge amount of money in Primark, Marks and Spencer, Next etc at Arndale Shopping centre. Then We wisited the Old Trafford where we made some pictures. I didn't know why the Old Trafford was decorated for special event, but one day later I found out the purpose of the decoration was for remembering those MU players who died 50 years ago in a planecrash in Munich. Busby Babes...r.i.p
After visiting Old Trafford we went to Trafford Centre which is the second largest shopping centre in Europe. It was nice however I think the decoration was just way toooo much. You were walking inside and got a headache 2 hours later.
Also we went for a birthday party on saturday evening, which was organized by one of the hungarian guy here. The party was ok, it was held in this guy's apartman, what he bought here. I guess you wanna know how could he buy apartman here... :-) Having all of the CISCO certificates, his payrate allowes him to do this :-)
The whole weekend was very good, full of events, but it was too short.
My weekdays are quite similar to each other, therefore nothing really to mention. I am still in a learner position however I would really like to start doing some "real" work, then just sit here and read documents, and solving some very simple issues.
This weekend was also interesting as we went to a hungarian party (meeting), which was held in a club had been founded by the hungarian immigrants of '56 Revolution. There were probably 100 people there, it was quite amazing to see how many of them are working here. We had some hungarian music from the DJ. The bartenders were old hungarian grandpas, it really felt like a school prom. It had to end at 1.am, and as we didn't want to go home, we went to one of our friend's place, where we stayed until 3:45 am, then we got home around 4:40. I got to bed, and woke up kinda early, 11am on sunday.
I couldn't sleep well, and also had to realise that I am getting old. Couple years ago it didn't matter if I got home 4-5 am after a night out, however now I was dead the whole sunday. I went to do some weekend shopping in Tesco, then I went to the local park with my flatmate, as the weather was great, sunshine, warm, but I was sipping RED BULL on the way in order to stay awake. After the walk I couldn't resist, I had a short :-) nap until 18:00.
When I woke up, cooked for a while, then I was watching tv, till 1:15 am. So Sunday disappeared very quickly. I decided to be a little bit more active, so I am considering get myself involved in some short run couple times a week. I would really like to loose my TV-series belly, as it is getting bigger :-)
Didsbury Park sign on the picture above. I wonder what would happen calling the number stated on it....
Someone left a leather glove on the fence, probably whoever left it there will not need anymore as the snow melted already....
And there is no green colour in the Continent, the real green can be found in the UK.
And this is me, standing in the green vision of Manchester...
BTW, TV Series....finally the strike of the screenplay writers has finally ended giving 1 billion dollar loss for the studios, so we can wait for the new episodes of our favourite shows. Unfortunately some of them will be only showed in 2009 which makes me really sad.
Future Mrs. Smith is having a business meeting on wednesday, when she and her boss will find out the future steps how to get her involved and get her play a part in the future of the company ... and maybe she will return to Prague. The business probably familiar to you my friends, as I remember you had a good laugh when I told you about it at a lunch in Topo Moschio Pizzeria. :-)
This is still not decided and not discussed, but there is a small chance
that life turns me back to Prague . . .
