Location: Winter Island - MA, US

Date: January 2009.

As Mr. Brazilian did not want to come with me I decided to go alone and find the Fort Pickering Lighthouse myself.

It is on a private island not far from city of Salem, in Massachussets. When I arrived the official visiting hours for the island was passed, however I drove in and parked my car at the parking lot, and went for the walk. (I got lucky, as I met the owner later on, and he promised me not to lock the gate on the road leading to the island, so I was ok to stay)

Weather was freezing, around -15 celsius, so I was pretty cold, but still it was one of the best place to be. Fort Pickering Lighthouse had a nice location, and it was nice to see a lighthouse on the "other" side of the Atlantic.
