Last Saturday went quickly. Mrs. Smith was working in the morning till 11, then I went to meet her in the city centre. We got to some shops and bought stuff, because we were invited to see Mr. Brazilian's newborn baby girl. The city centre was full of people, everybody did christmas shopping, we met Santa Claus also. (The Christmas decoration is kinda ugly in the town) Then in the evening we went over Marcos's place for some sandwich. Her girl, Isabella, is beautiful, and very very small. :-) But we promised we will take her to the Balaton, as we went with her parents in 2006.
Anyway, the evening was great. For Sunday, we had an appointment booked, as Mrs. Smith has found an excersize machine (some kind of power step/walking fitness machine), which was advertised for 20 quid in very good condition. So we decided to go for it.
9am in the morning we picked up the equipment, which was really in a good shape. It counts burned calories, speed, everything. (Usually they cost over 100 quid). It fit in the car luckily, so we were very happy about it. As we got home again, the weather turned out to be "great"!
We had our first snow in Ipswich. As it was advertised in the radio days ago, we got our portion of "heavy snowing" for sunday morning. It was snowing for a whole morning with big flakes. And yes, it remained for a while. Our cat, was absolutely stunned, however was not too brave to go out the balcony.
As we put the stepping/walking machine to its place in our living room (our apartment is HUGE), we decided to go to the seaside. So jumped in the car, and off we went. The roads were covered by snow, and were very slippery, I could feel the ABS was working a lot.
On the way to the sea, the snow turned to rain, and as we got down to the beach, we saw it will not be our dream time. The wind was very strong, and waves were high, and also some kinda icy "rain" was pinching our face as we got out of the car. So we did not stay so much, got back to Ipswich (after staying about 5 minutes at the sea), where we still had SNOW. Unfortunately not for long, as in the afternoon, the weather became warmer, snow turned to rain, and disappeared, then in the afternoon was lots of sunshine, and cold weather. Crazy, isn't it?
Anyway, it was a perfect weekend. In the evening I continued editing our home video DVD, which we recorded during our trips to the countryside. This made me realize again, how much I miss our friends, especially the Bishop girls, and I told to Mrs. Smith, we will miss that fun for a long time.
