First day with Marcos in the office. Just like nothing has changed since I left Interoute. Only Marcos acts different. More confident, more experienced. Anyway, clearly he feels ok with this job.

It was an interesting day for me also. Realised how much I am gonna have to learn, which makes me very exciting. Finally I am spending my day, with actually doing something, doing something constructive, and not just laying around. And the days are just passing by quickly.

Mrs. Smith is leaving our apartment in Manchester today, and will move to me over the weekend, as her trip to holland was suddenly cancelled. At least we will not be separated for two months, but on the other hand, she really desired this trip, and I feel really sorry for her.

I have many things to organize these days, will have to contact EON, United Utilities, order BT broadband, as my current temp. solution the 3G Mobile broadband (pay as you go) did not work out very well. Almost impossible to use it. Often disconnects, and even
if I have connection, it is terrible slow, a modem would be much quicker I guess. So I could have spent 65 quid better I believe.

The weather here is great, today it was sunshine all day, with no rain at all. This could not happen in Manchester that is for sure. The general weather is much warmer here, and much less rain. So, great to go away from Rainchester. (And also have not seen any hoodies so far, which is hard to believe but its true. I almost forgot how it feels like :-))
I want to believe this will be the real place for us to stay longer. If our jobs "work" out well, we will settle down here for a while.

Luckily I have found out, that the Ipswich City council has degraded our current flat's band, and now it is only Band B, instead of Band C. This means 170 GBP save for me for a year. But still the council tax for a Band B apartment in Ipswich is £1183.56 which is a hell of a lot money.
Just to compare, a Band B apartment in Manchester is 989.08. I don't know why Ipswich is more expensive, but it really hurts my feelings. Anyway, I am happy for the change, because Band C with its 1352 GBP rate would have been more painful.

And for last, there was a football game in Southern Slovakia couple days ago, which was a failure, and the slovakian police was beating up hungarian supporters (would love to say hooligans).
This was an unfortunate event, and I do not want to start discussing, who initiated it, or what was the real reason, but the fact, that the two country have very bad diplomatic communication nowadays. It is been all over the news, that slovakian people hate us, and we hate them, they beat hungarians, we beat them back, etc etc etc.

I have to say, I had many czech and slovakian colleagues, and NEVER had any problem or felt any discrimination because I Was hungarian. They always treated me equally, and however we always joked around each others nationality, but never offended each other, and we all knew those were jokes.

Seeing these football supporters, I have to say, we should not make any decision on this level they represent. We should not say, decent slovakian people hate hungarians or the opposite. But still media give us this idea.

On Hungary most famous social networking page, there were some message board notes, where people were asking to boycott slovakian products, starting with their beer. Well, I had to reply to such bullshits were in those messages, and they only made me laugh. I have slovakian-czech friends, and I will have them. And will not boycott anything, just because some hooligans were beated up by the police on a football game. I agree hate exist between slovakian and hungarian people. I just don't agree with its advertised size, and I do believe this is only generated by a small minority, and not by the population of whole countries.

In return of my message, which I said, I will not boycott anything, one of my contact (an ex-girlfriend) was disconnecting me, and cancelled our connection. Well, 1 people out of the 316 is not so bad. So any of my slovakian and czech friends. Feel free to add my as a friend on Facebook, I will accept these requests.

And whoever has opinion about this, go ahead and comment on it.
