What happened in the last couple days?
1.
I had a dream (I have a dream .... -Martin Luther King :-)) that Chelsea won the championship. It was a perfectly clear image in front of my eyes. I have seen Ronaldo crying and huging Rooney. I was really thinking about making a bet on them with some ammount. Mrs. Smith told me, if this will work out, the next exersise will be to dream about the lottery numbers.
Well, as you MIGHT know, it did not turn out quite well.
The MAN-U became champion. And I don't have to dream about the lottery numbers anymore. Manchester was celebrating, lots of drunk people everywhere. There is always a reason to get drunk in England :-)
2.
We are planning to buy a car in Hungary, then travel back to the Uk with that. Cheaper the maintenance and all taxes for it. Then when I am done here, we can take it back to Hungary. I was looking many cars in the internet over the last days, and found out, this will be more difficult than I thought. (I don't know why I have to buy a car in the middle of the OIL crisis )
3.
We are going for a visit this Saturday to Newborough beach, to see our fifth lighthouse. This seems to be a good trip, and the weather will be fine according the forecast. The place is famous that one of the previous Demi Moore film was shot there (HALFLIGHT), so if you have seen the movie, you'll know where we go.
4.
GBP is falling. Since I came here, it lost more than around 13% (!!) of its value comparing to the Hungarian Forint, and I am sad to say, this was not triggered by strengthening of forint on the international market. Unfortunately the GDP has fallen to EURO which makes me nervous thinking about my salary value. I hope the current situation will become better in the near future, and UK will not fall into recession.
5.
I have signed the contract for our flat, and my current flatmate will move out in about two weeks. So we will be on our own. The flat will be officially ready to give "shelter" to my foreign friends when they come over to visit us. I hope I will be able to keep paying for it properly :-)
That is for now folks, will continue soon...
