I am pissed, and I was shouting in the phone for 7 minutes straight.

Story is the following:

For at least 3 months now we are having some issues with our electric shower. Sometimes works, sometimes not, sometimes the water is burning hot, sometimes icy cold. We have asked for help, plumber came and checked it, said the water pressure of the house was good, the issue was at the equipment. Another Engineer checked the electric shower, he said it was working well, he was blaming the water pressure of the house.

Anyway it has been a while now, and we can not have a proper shower without any issues. Not really nice feeling to stand in the shower for sometimes 4-5 minutes and wait the icy cold water to warm up again, when your body is covered by shower gel. And when it happens, you probably have 2 minutes until the warm water disappears again.

1. It is a huge waste of fresh water, as you have to keep the shower running, and wait to warm it up again. (Even if you pay fix price for the water, it is just WASTE)

2. Terrible feeling to meet the icy water suddenly, when you are washing your hair.

And as this is the UK, everybody is blaming somebody else for everything. Finally we got the part, when an engineer from the electric shower company: Triton http://www.tritonshowers.co.uk/inscriptions/index.php) was supposed to come on an agreed date/time and change the electric shower, as it still have guarantee. He was suppose to come on the 15th of May, so I called up the head-office on the 14th just to confirm a proper time. Mrs. Smith could have stayed at home at about until 12 am. A nice lady told me that the engineer will call me that day (14th of May) to agree on a time. She promised me, she almost swore to GOD, that the engineer will call me. (I should have suspected this will not happen)

Didn't happen. Engineer didn't call me, BUT I have received an sms message that he will come between 10-12 am. And at the bottom: "Please do not reply on this message". Well, on my opinion this is a statement, rather than agreement, because I  could not modify this time.  Of course, noone showed up by 12 am, and Mrs. Smith went to work, and I have received a call from the engineer that he was at my doorstep (He could call me). I told him, noone is at home, so I told him I was disappointed he was late. Anyway I called up the head-office again, and hear what happened.


I talked to another lady, who found this totally normal, and she told me:

"their engineer's dont call customers, but messaging in order to ARRANGE a time"
"the next available date is 27th of May as they were fully booked"
"I have two options: they message me the day before, or call me 30 minutes before
arrival" (Hm, they can call?)

What the fck I can do here? I told here, this can not be called as "aggree on a date/time". This is statement. They should have said, they will state the arrival date/time, and BE AT HOME.

So now I can wait for two weeks, and organize somebody to be in the flat for the whole freekin' day. And all is to change a bloody electric shower....

Anyway, cold water makes us stronger, I should not complain at all.  I must accept, that UK would be a good, organized country if these nice, effective, and clever processes ( what they have on every area of life) were JUST WORK!!!!

But so far I must say:

1. They have process to order re-delivery on the internet for your missed post: NOT working, as they loose the registered mail with my passport in it.

2. You can apply for a new bank card and have sent to your address in 3 days: NOT working as Mrs. Smith's account was NOT working for a month, with her new card. She was going in and out the branch, for every second day for a month. Thanks LLOYDS.

3. You can check on the internet/report/call the shower provider company get a date/time (not so much choice here) to change your shower in guarantee: NOT working as the engineer is late, and noone gives a freeken sh*t on your availability.

4. You can register at the closest GP to your flat: NOT WORKING as there is no database which GP you belong to, and Mrs. Smith was sent away from 5 GPs around our postcode, because they said, we don't belong there. They could not even tell which GP we belong.

5 ..... And I could continue it for a day.

Maybe we would not need so perfectly planned processes in every level, we would need only something simple which WORKS.
