Yesterday we were having a small BBQ on the roof terrace, as the weather turned out to be great. It was around 16 degrees and sunshine, so after these rainy, grey days, it felt wonderful to have this weather. I didn't really participate in this bbq, as I was just totally dead after a busy day at work.
I already spent more than 3 months at the job, so my probationary period should be over soon. I am gonna have to talk to my manager about it, but don't think there will be any problem with it. The work gets better and busier day by day. Finally I have more and more trouble tickets to solve, I can face different problems, and also solving these I can learn a lot. As this is all about learning. You never stop.
Today the weather showed its real face again, however it is not so cold as it was days ago, but still rainy and grey. Every day I am checking the weather forecast for the city Holyhead, as we are about to go and see the third lighthouse over the weekend, so far hopefully the most beautiful one. I have booked the train tickets, which were 20£ each for return, and the only thing remained is to pray for good weather (And also Pray for Success :-)). I hope next week I will be able to provide some pictures too.
We got hooked up on these lighthouses, and as they are amazingly beautiful and they usually at the coast of the sea/ocean, they are built on wonderful land/rocks. Hopefully we will be able to visit most of them along UK's coast. Saturday the destination will be Wales.
Today hopefully we will organize a short poker game in our flat with friends. I started to take Poker seriously again, so I was reading a lot about different playing strategy, and also played on the Victor Chandler Poker online. I was doing well, my sit-in money was 1$, and we played 0.02, 0.04cents in Limit Texas Hold'em. Around 1 hour later, I have left the table (6 person table) with 2.09$, so I can consider it a good start :-)
My statistics was 40% of winning in hands played, which is considering that 6 of us played I can say nice :-). As more as I read about how to play poker professionaly, I have to realize this game is all about mathematics, logics, and a very small portion of luck. Very good to read about the different hands were played out at Poker world championships, as it helps to understand how to combine your cards, and how to figure out and "see" what cards your opposite players have in their hands.
Hm...maybe soon, you will see me in the TV as Mr. John Smith, the World Series of Poker World champion :-)
