Just some things I have seen travelling home from work.
I was passing by the Curry Mile on the Wilmslow Road, when I saw a young black guy was trying to withdraw some money from an HSBC bankomat. Next to him, a typical gipsy lady was standing and watching him in this procedure. I say typical, because the very colourful clothes, skirt, and head-scarf are the main characteristics of a gipsy lady. When this guy has finished and picked up some quid and tried to leave was the moment the gipsy has decided to advance. I didn't hear what she said, as I was in the bus, and was just watching them, but the lady was trying to grab the guy's hand and take the money. The guy was smiling embarrasly and tried to fasten his steps, but the gipsy was following him. In about 5 seconds, from the other side a gipsy kid appeared, and with very good instinct he slipped his hand into this guy's pocket. The guy hit the young one's hand, and tried to run away.... This was the moment when my bus has left the bus stop, and didn't see how the story ended.
No comment gents....
Also on the same day I have seen a girl on the bus tried to fill her cigarette paper and create a nice joint. She was not disturbed by other fellow passangers. We could almost have a bite from the strong smell of the marijuana in the bus. (That was the confusing of different senses :-)
Anyway, Manchester, you suprise me every given day
