The beginning

2008.01.20. 01:41 ZmanUK

Well, many days passed since I have moved out Prague and returned back to Budapest. I had a wonderful Christmas, and new year's eve in a very small, and kinda old apartman, what we have rented out from a friend of mine.

Hungary has not changed so much, more new and beautiful buildings has been built, however peoples mentality and their dodgy lifestyle haven't changed a bit. I was not so happy when we moved back, even though I didn't like Prague so much, I have to say it is\was better than Budapest.

It was funny to buy a car, for approx 6000 CZK, and ride around Budapest, visit all the friends and family. I could imagine the way my parents felt when they were driving around in the exact type of socialistic car 17 years ago :-) Total RETRO.

The 4 weeks disappeared very quickly, and I found myself saying goodbye to Judit, and our cat, and getting my ass on the plane to Manchester.

I have found a flatshare in South Manchester, (Didsbury) at a Hungarian guy, a nice, but small flat, but anyway, this'll do for a while I guess. I only have to pay 330 GBP for the room included every bills, internet connection, etc.

I met many hungarians even on my first day, as 3 flats in this block is occupied by hungarians.

Today I have visited Gamma's office where I will work from Monday, it will take a nice 1 hour ride on the bus to get there, however the location is nice and kinda easy to reach. (The funny thing it would be only 15 minutes by car,....I guess I am gonna have to buy one soon)

Also Today I have been invited to a party, where we were saying goodbye to a hungarian guy who was leaving Manchester. The party was held at the club named : The CZECH BAR, and out of the sudden I found myself sipping Staropramen, and staring a sign: STAROPRAMEN, SMICHOV, PRAHA 5. I felt myself "home".

I could ask for my beer in czech, I could ask for my entrance ticket in czech, so I was very happy with my performance. The party was kinda suck, but anyway, I am here now, typing these sentences.

Tomorrow I am gonna do some shopping, but that'll be another post here.
